GVW Group (GVW) was founded in 1993 and has a track record of successfully building
companies based on the firm’s focus on customers and meeting their needs.
People
Our relationships begin by successfully partnering with the management teams of
our portfolio companies. We continually raise performance levels by identifying,
hiring, developing and retaining a diverse, high-caliber management team and providing
them with the opportunities to grow personally and professionally. We support the
alignment of interest between the firm and management through equity ownership –
through its own investment, management owns meaningful parts of each of our portfolio
companies.
Speed, leverage and execution are the benchmarks of our people and we recognize
that our successful track record is the result of the contributions of the people
throughout our portfolio companies.
Products
GVW has a strong track record of building business in the consumer products, industrial
manufacturing, financial services and technology sectors. We invest in companies
that produce products and services that are differentiated and have a defensible
competitive advantage. Our strategy is to start with the end customer’s perspective
and work backwards to develop products/services that address the customer’s needs.
We believe products are more than the features and benefits of the physical good,
but must include the brand, quality, and service aspects as well.
Processes
In order to systematically achieve outsized results, GVW and its portfolio companies
implement processes that are repeatable and enable sustainable growth in all market
environments. We seek to leverage past experiences in order to reduce execution
risk, increase speed to market, and reduce costs.
